With this band, some of the most internationally outstanding contemporary jazz musicians are on our stage: the exceptional German drummer Christian Lillinger, the American top bassist Joe Sanders, the British pianist John Escreet, who is known for his long-standing collaboration with Antonio Sanchez, and the Slovenian saxophonist Jure Pukl. Pukl, who now lives in New York, has had a rapid career in the international jazz scene, which was honored in 2015 by the awarding of the highest Slovenian art prize. Pukl's rise is based on numerous solo recordings and recordings as a sideman, for example with Branford Marsalis, Jeff "Tain" Watts, Dave Liebman and Vijay Iyer. His musical journey, which began with a garage rock band, led him to his quartet Analaog AI - a musical imitation of analogue artificial intelligence. Broken, technically demanding rhythms, modern lyrical bass lines, powerful saxophone sounds and unpredictable improvisation form the language of this new band of old friends. Their musical expression is a reaction to AI, because these musicians insist that music is still at its most powerful, beautiful, wild, lyrical and sensual when performed by musicians in the moment and in front of a live audience.
