The Bugge Wesseltoft Special Trio with Arild Andersen and Gard Nilssen represent the Bugge Wesseltofts new albums repertoire in a classic piano trio set up. They perform their trio compositions for the album, Bugge Wesseltoft standards as also material from the individual band members.

The new album by Bugge Wesseltoft is a continuation of his Solo records series that started in 2007. Being inspired by a melancholic, downtempo vibe these previous solo albums always have some meaningful messages included or are reflecting the worlds latest matters. They previously also featured Joshua Redman, Mari Bone to name a few. March 2025 brings us the 5th installment of that Solo album series. The illustrous guests on this beautiful collaborative album consist of the following artists below. Each of them performing alongside Bugge Wesseltoft on 1-2 compositions on the album: Upcoming artist Øyunn on drums alongside Jens Mikkel Madsen on bass create a modern free rhythm section in support of Bugges melodies. Album also features vocals and lyrics by Rohey, with Martin Myhre Olsen on saxophon, Elias Tafjord on drums. The tabla player Sanskriti Shrestha adds her indian percussive patterns to the melancholic playing of Bugge Wesseltofts grand piano. Oddrun Lilja on guitar is one of the other outstanding Jazzland Recs artists that Bugge discovered and presented since many years. The legendary Arild Andersen on double bass meets Gard Nilssen on drums accompanying Bugge for a more acoustic vibe of a jazz tune.
