Kirk Fletcher is widely regarded as one of the best blues guitarists in the world and enjoys the respect and admiration of critics, colleagues and fans from all over the world. Joe Bonamassa mentioned in an interview: "Kirk is undoubtedly one of the best blues guitarists in the world." His soulful guitar playing and voice guarantee goosebumps and his unique proximity to blues and roots music is both refreshingly modern and completely authentic. He has been nominated four times for the Blues Music Award and in 2015 for the British Blues Award and has worked with numerous artists such as Kim Wilson, Charlie Musselwhite and Joe Bonamassa. He was also the lead guitarist of the band The Fabulous Thunderbirds for three years. He is touring worldwide as the frontman of his own Kirk Fletcher Band, with whom he will be a guest on this evening. He presents his brand new album Heartache By The Pound, which he recorded at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama on his own label OgieRea Records.
